"Bushbuck are masters of camouflage. They retire to thickets, but also
bed down at night in the open where they seem relatively invisible to
predators. Lions have been seen walking within 10 meters of a bushbuck
that is hiding this way."
"The
top right of Namibia borders the Okavango swamps. Namibia has its own,
fairly unknown swamps that form part of this watery world. In them you
find the red lechwe, reedbuck, bushbuck, puku, waterbuck and the
sitatunga, all water loving antelopes. Sitatunga inhabit the deepest
sections of the swamps and have special hooves to enable them to travel
in this watery world. As the land gets drier you will encounter red
lechwe, reedbuck and puku, then waterbuck and bushbuck." |
