  "The cape, bank and crowned cormorants are all endemic to South West Africa so make sure you tick all three species off when visiting Walvis and Swakopmund."

"Cormorants can see well both above and below water, a difficult trick that humans can not manage. They achieve this trick by having a soft cornea that allows it to flatten when they are underwater and so compensate for the change in vision needed."
